Clunking rattling noise on high frequency road bumps after front and rear brake replacement

Maintenance:Wrench:

2017 GTI DSG Autobahn with PP
I'm hearing a rattling/clunking noise when going over high frequency (not larger dips) road bumps from under the car after a front and rear brake job - new rotors and pads were fitted. When I very lightly drag my foot on the brakes the noise doesn't occur on bumps where it does elicit the noise when I am not touching the brakes. The work was done at an independent Euro specialist shop and they looked at the brakes again and now want to dig into the suspension. Braking feels fine and I'm not hearing any noise upon braking other than a faint dragging sound which I think is due to the ceramic pads fitted vs. the OE semi-metallic. The suspension feels normal and I don't think I'm hearing any noises from it when driving/turning/cornering.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what could be going on? I'm double checking part numbers to make sure the right parts were fitted. The noise kinda sounds like the pads are rattling around inside the calipers, but they can't be moved by hand to reproduce the sound. Given that the noise started after the brake job I think blaming the suspension and not a botched brake install is weak tea.

Thoughts?

Thanks in advance.
