is a socialist revolution necessary to prevent a capitalist dystopia?
i've noticed the state and the monopolies are way too intertwined, survival has always been a commodity, the bourgeoisie are doing everything in their power to extract profit at the expense of human life, and even reformist attempts are being actively shot down and destroyed. (to be fair, i'm obviously not the first one to notice this, i'm just relatively new to the concept of communism)
even the "benefits" of capitalism that many use to justify its preservation and expansion are revealing themselves to be untrue. the innovation within market capitalism and whatnot is only available to those who can afford it (such as healthcare), the "creativity" it has to offer is being replaced with artificial intelligence, and the representative democracy meant to prevent a tyranny of the masses, protect the checks and balances system, and truly represent the people is just a dictatorship that pushes for ballot initiatives. and plus, any simple reform efforts such as the progressive movement immediately get suppressed by the media.
so then, is a revolution here in america necessary to prevent the fall of society as a whole? and what does this revolution look like? is this the only way to stop the elites from taking their tyrannical rule to the next level?
