Deck question
We just bought our first home, mostly in good shape with a few things to fix. One of which is the deck, which leads to this question. The fascia trim must have ripped off, so the previous owner re screwed the deck railing directly to the 28. Of course water then soaked what you see in the picture and rotted it. I ripped off the rest of the fascia trim just to expose and see it. Is the right thing to replace the entire 210? Won't be super straight forward just because the deck boards are nailed to them and the linoleumed up top. We are going to re-cover the deck but we're going to use some coating on top of the linoleum.
Just wondering if there's any appropriate short cuts here that still ensures a proper job done?
