Unpopular opinion

I really liked elena from S1 to mid S3 but after that I couldn't stand her and everything revolving around her (like most people 😭), but my unpopular opinion is that I enjoyed S7 and S8 more than S5 for example specifically in the way that finally elena wasn't around and also my favorite character (bonnie) was more focused on AND my favorite ship ever developed. so when they started to have this subplot trying to save ELENA'S COFFIN???? I was just so done 😭😭😭
