Youtube adding random songs to my created playlist

I don't mean that autoplay continues after the end of the playlist. I created a playlist and added specific songs myself, came back the next day, and found it had added about 50 new songs to the list for me. I can't stress enough how much I do not want this. How can I make sure that never happens again?
