Keep the faith beautiful people.
I was diagnosed with M.E in my early twenties.(I'm now 50) I was bedridden for 3 years, and I slept anything from 16 to 20 hours a day. on the rare occasions I had a bath I had to be supervised so I didn't drown. Each bath wiped me out for weeks. I weighed 6 stone as I was too exhausted to eat. After 3 years I managed to get out of bed. But then I couldn't even carry a cup of tea from the kitchen to the lounge I was still so exhausted and I spent another 3 years on the sofa, I was still 6 stone. My doctor had wanted me to get walking sticks as I could barely walk. I refused, I couldn't give in, I literally crawled on my knees to the doctors surgery, it was 10 minutes away but would take me over an hour to get there. I eventually got well enough to get a little job in a cafe which was 200 yards away from my house, I did 2 hours a week. Fast forward to the present day and I have two beautiful teenagers and a full time job. I'm a single mum and every day is bloody tough. I work, cook, take care of my kids and then sleep every second I can. I'm exhausted, I have no social life BUT it was and is all worth it. I'm in a privileged position to have had the time to KNOW ME. Years upon years spent with only myself clears the mind, I know what/who I will and won't spend my precious time/energy on. I can feel and understand my body and mind in ways others cannot. I treasure every beautiful up day in a way , i think, fit and healthy people don't experience. I just wanted to say this as there is always hope, there is always light at the end of the tunnel.YOU CAN DO THIS, WE CAN DO THIS, DON'T EVER GIVE UP, whilst my life is not ideal or normal it is so much better than it was. We are strong. We are so so strong. Keep up the fight x
