Problems with the BOOKSTORE! Anyone has been in a similar situation?
Upon checking my summer term bill I saw that I have been charged for a book for a course I took this summer. The book was recommended by the instructor, but they never mentioned that it was part of our bill nor did they mention that we had online access. There was no link on canvas to access the electronic version of the book (like Cengage, MacMillian Learning online platforms, etc).
I emailed OneStop about it and they said they can’t do anything. They told me to speak with the bookstore and provided me this number:
“The Campus Bookstore offers 24/7 Support via:
- Web: customercare.bncollege.com
- Toll Free: 1-844-9-EBOOKS (1-844-932-6657)
- Email: bookstorecustomercare@bncollege.com”
I called this number and they told me to contact Barnes and Nobles at College Ave, they gave me a phone that doesn’t work and is out of service. They told me they don’t deal with Rutgers directly.
I’m calling BS on all this. It’s not even about the money, it’s the principle that they are doing this unfairly and hurting students in the process. I’m not the first and the last, I’m not about to let this go because I’m not gonna be paying for a book I didn’t use and wasn’t aware was available to me.
