The Pledge of Allegiance is anti-American

I’m a good little American. Stand for the National Anthem, take my hate off, hand over my chest and sing along. Always said the Pledge in school. But the first time I actually thought about it, it just felt like something a dictatorship would do. Something they would require in North Korea. Or in 1984. Every kid has to stand and swear allegiance to their flag, to their country, or else?

Isn’t our vibe more, we’re the best country because we don’t force our people to do things. The land of the free?
