Hidden wiring for a 240V when only a 120V is needed for a gas range
No one will know the answer to this exactly since it’s unlikely you were the electrician when my house was built, but is it common practice to wire for both a 120V and a 240V to a gas range, just in case the owner/future owner wants to put in an electric range later? I’m putting in a duel fuel range and replacing my gas range so just curious if I can expect the drywall to be cut up all the way to the box or if there is a chance that the area is already wired behind the current plug.
House was built in late 2019/early 2020 in the northeast. Nice house done by a reputable builder who did the whole neighborhood, all $700k-$800k houses (at the time).
