hey guys, which programming language should i start? C or C++

I'm a BABY at programming, I've only ever done HTML and CSS and excelled at those. Because that is all they taught us at high school, now I'm starting college I want to study while I still can this summer. I do not have prior knowledge to coding besides modding in some games, I may know stuff like what is a syntax, a boolean etc. but other than knowing, i still am not sure how to write or apply them. My peers told me that my course focuses on basic knowledge in C and C++ then emphasis on Java and C#. I heard C/C++ is a good starting point for learning the fundamentals. So help a bro out! My classes start next month lol
