My view on AI music

I feel like it is okay to discuss this here since music is an art-form.

I personally do not endorse it or listen to it, but I think it is because of my music taste rather than simply “I hate AI in everything”.

My favourite artist (currently) is Kendrick Lamar, and when you listen to his songs, you will notice it is deeply personal and grounded in reality, he places emotion in every word in his lyrics.

When he drops a “YOU UGLY AS FUCK” (N95 reference), it isn’t like he is directly saying “you look bad”, instead the lyrics surrounding it and various meanings on said lyrics paint a beautiful picture, and he has to fit all of that in a beat.

And I think that I am being reasonable when I say, if AI fucks up this music taste of mine, I think I got a right to hate it, even if I am biased.
