Can ypu m9d gta sa de on steam deck?

Ive tried some Google searches to no avail, so im reaching out.

I bought it on sale not knowing alot of my favorite songs have been removed and I want to fix it. I found the mod I need to restore the radio, and it says to drop it in a mods folder that doesnt exist so I made ononand put the files in but none of the songs have played in the last hour. I extracted the .rar and put the .pak files in my mod folder. I put this in steam apps not a Rockstar folder so that's not an issue.

It might just be bad luck and they are in, or I might have done it wrong. Also to add im doing this on a steam deck

Has anyone here uses the radio restored mod, and if so did I miss anything? Is there a way to verify it worked? Do you need some sort of mod loader?
