[M4F] Cuckolded instead of ghosted

Closure is hard these days. Where dating apps have become the norm, it’s easy for someone to just…move on. Ghosting went from being rude, to being expected. From here, it’s also easy to fixate on what could’ve been or imagine why she didn’t pick you or think she’s eventually going to text back.

These norms could be reimagined: what if you ended up getting too much closure? If, at the end of every love triangle, you knew exactly where you stood.

Specifically when a woman made her choice, the cultural norms were that she would sever all ties with other suitors in a more honest way—telling them exactly what went wrong and where they might’ve…lacked relative to other guys. It’s could even be normal to solidify this hierarchy: announcing your decision in front of both men, only to spread your legs for the winner so that the loser might understand exactly what he has lost.

It would be fun to play this scenario out where the competition is open, the grading rubric is public, and the stakes of losing are high. Maybe even bring in another guy to play out a full triangle?
