Need Some Direction

Hello all,

Here is my financial and life situation before I start going off and asking questions. I am 28 years old, make about 110k a year, live in the USA as a gc holder, have 30k in my 401k, and recently came across 130-140k usd in cash due to some life reasons.

It is still in the country I am from, and I am wondering where I should go with this. Do I move the money to the States? I've never invested in my life and I am finally stable enough to do so. I have no debts/bills aside from rent, and don't really wish to own a house until I become a citizen.

I know I dont just want this money to sit in my bank account. But I need a path and Im wondering what everyone has done for themselves?
