Why I ship Nam-gyu with Myung-gi more than Thanos

Before y'all roast me, please hear me out:

1. Myung-gi is more his intellectual equal. Thanos and Nam-gyu's relationship was mostly based on physical stuff like the sharing of drugs and getting up into violent antics together. But with Myung-gi there is more potential for a mental connection or at least playful verbal bantering.

2. Thanos was too obsessed with girls and let's face it, was probably straight, so he was never going to reciprocate Nam-gyu's affections. But I can totally see Myung-gi as heteroflexible and open to bisexual experimentation. Maybe because the actor gives off hipster vibes.

3. Thanos and Nam-gyu are both chaotic types prone to getting into trouble, so they enabled each other. Whereas Myung-gi is more calm and structured and a good influence on Nam-gyu. He already proved himself so in the maze game as he gave Nam-gyu some level-headed injunctions which the latter happily followed.

4. Thanos and Nam-gyu have different social orientations. Thanos is super extroverted and prosocial, whereas Nam-gyu is very socially selective. Nam-gyu is the type who hyperfixates on one person as he hates most people. Myung-gi is more introverted and a loner just like Nam-gyu, so unlike Thanos, he could've given Nam-gyu attention in the way he wanted.

5. There is less of a power imbalance. Thanos was always seen as the bigger and stronger one compared to Nam-gyu and it's cool that he dominates but I'm enjoying the physical equality between Nam-gyu and Myung-gi as well.

6. Nam-gyu obviously finds Myung-gi attractive and respects him. Firstly, he was infamously ogling at his MG groin last season. And for the maze game he could've easily asked Min-su or another red to team up with him, but instead, he dauntlessly approached Myung-gi, his former enemy! And he even called him "the Amazing Myung-gi" and obeyed all his prudent commands during the maze game.

7. Nam-gyu and Myung-gi have great chemistry together. Granted, the same could be said for Thangyu, and there are plenty of reasons why that's a great ship too. I love both ships! I'm just more hyped about Namggi at the moment because it's new.
