Lexapro made me depressed, worth trying another SSRI?

Started Lexapro for anxiety and within four days stopped taking it because it was giving me severe depression / suicidal thoughts, worse anxiety, and physically felt very tense. Has anyone had similar experiences and then had luck trying a different SSRI? Or better to stay away and find other ways to manage
