What's best?

I have a 2013 f150 platinum that I owe 17k on( im aware that this is stupid). I think trade in would be in the 10k range. The last 2 years I have had to put about 2k into the truck each year. First was timing set, the next year was a complete ac system. This year the ac is out again and its 37 days out of warranty. Im going through a divorce which means that my ex wifes car that we normally drove as a family is no longer an option for me. Im considering trading the truck in instead of fixing it again. I have found a Honda HRV sport near me for 18,500. Its a 2022 with 24k miles. At this point, im just trying to do the most financially responsible thing, but I want something reliable and a good daily commuter for my son and I. What would my best option be.
