Question on repayment plan

Hello everyone.

Ny wife has started dental school this semester, and I was wondering about what steps i should take to prepare for repayment.

What do I need to do for setting up RAP?

1. Pay the interest of the loan while wife is in school
2. Set up RAP after she graduates and starts work
3. Pay 30 years until forgiveness
4. Pay tax bomb

Is this correct? Please educate me if im wrong. Also, when do I set our taxes to marriage filed separetely? Do i do that now or the year she graduates? Class of 2029.
