portfolio balancing 27 years old

hey all! i see everyone talking about how focusing on dividends is such a waste of time for young people, and suggest everyone to move to high growth etfs like VOO

i bought a fair chunk of high yield - VHY and am looking to rebalance my portfolio i've got around $120k invested with $40k in the aforementioned VHY, and am looking for some guidance to move forwards

should i sell and reinvest in high growth or leave and reinvest dividends into high growth investments?

i am asx, and not looking to take these investments out for the next 5-7 years
