What this means for trans people on Medicaid that covers SRS and HRT will likely lose their only means of getting either by October. This is because most people will lose Medicare and Medicaid as a result of this legislation.

Please don't kill yourselves. Muster up all the strength you can to do what needs to be done to get private care. Some states might later step in to cover you. For example, this leaves coverage up in the air in Oregon. All insurance companies are required to cover all trans care in Oregon. There's hope for you here. Keep an eye on things, fight like hell to advocate for yourself, find hope, love yourself, and don't give up.

I'm not talking about them restricting transexual care like HRT or SRS directly. I'm talking about them restricting care, period. The fact of the matter is that trans people are generally worse off in terms of employment and rely heavily on government subsidies such as medicaid. That means this will disproportionately take away healthcare from trans people and other marginalized minorities. People with schizophrenia are especially fucked and for that very same reason.
