Needing to change password twice

Does the game launcher and the website have two separate passwords?

Everytime I need to log onto the website I need to change the password so I can get an upgrade or expansion. When I do that and then go to the launcher and sign in I need to change my password again. Yes I am using the new password in the launcher.

If I change my password from the launcher and go through that process and get a new one made so I can log back into the game I can't sign in on the website again.

Does anyone else have an issue similar?
