🦴Welcome to the Boneyard

Pinned

Hey y’all! I’m Kade, a paleontologist, geologist, and science communicator. This subreddit is meant to be a community-focused space for folks who keep up with my socials, but all are welcome — whether you followed me here from Instagram or TikTok, or just stumbled in from the wilds of Reddit!

The Boneyard is a space to:

  • Share fossils (real or cast!), rocks, and field photos
  • Ask geology/paleo questions
  • Post geoscience-y memes
  • Hang out with other fossil-loving folks!

📌Before You Post

Please take a second to read through the community rules before getting started.

TL;DR:

  1. Be respectful. Absolutely no homophobia, racism, xenophobia, or bigotry of any kind will be tolerated here.
  2. No self-promo (shops, socials, Discords, etc.) unless you've cleared it with me/mods first.
  3. No AI-generated content will be allowed here! Real photos, pictures, and articles only.
  4. SFW content only. This space is for everyone!

This is my science outreach space. Let's keep it safe and fun!

🧠About Me

I’m a master’s student researching Cretaceous stratigraphy in Tennessee — focusing on litho-, bio-, and chemo-stratigraphy. In simpler terms: I study the distribution of rock units, their fossil content, and chemical makeup to better understand how they correlate across space and time. I’ve worked in museums, designed exhibits, and dug up fossils of all kinds (yes, dinosaurs included!).

I also run science communication pages under the name KatieDigsDinos, where I share educational content based on my work and research as an early-career geoscientist and grad student.
