Help buying a setup

I know yall have seen hundres of these because I've read them trying to research. Ive seem badger be recommended then de-recommended as their QC has gone to heck over the last year. So. I have expendable income, I dont want to break the bank either as I learn however I don't mind dropping 100 bucks on a decent airgun so I know if I mess up, its me, not the equipment. I like convience. I dont mind buying things seperate. I just want to make sure what im buying is compatible. So far im looking at the timber tech as186 compressor as I've seen it recommended by several people without followed up comments talking bout bad QC, or it breaking etc. Im quite experienced with brush painting and dry brushing, but I got like 100 phobos space marines to paint before the Nova open in August and I dont wanna do it by hand considering im kinda going nuts on basing.
