Yosemite creek parking alternatives

Camping in Yosemite creek soon, got permits, however judging by what I am reading online there is no way my car can make the drive ('20 civic si weighed down with 4 guys and a roof rack worth of stuff). Advice on where to park to then walk to the site would be excellent.
