Bought a used suede bag. Smells like cooking oil and spices.

I bought a pre-owned suede bag on Poshmark.

It smells like cooking oil and what seems like garlic or curry, or both. It’s strong enough that I can smell it when I put it on my shoulder.

Is there a chance to get the smell out, or should I just send it back?
