INTJ sister types
hello all! I would like to hear this community’s thoughts on INTJ’s sister types (as in, personality types that only differ by one letter - INTJ, ENTJ, INTP and INFJ) - do you have any experience with people who belong to these types? how did you relate to them? presumably, you would be able to understand them better than those who differ in more traits - is this true in your experience? do you get along with them better? are you yourself a cusp (someone who has a trait that is or is nearly 50/50 - for example, someone who is 45% sensing and 55% intuitive might find themselves relating to things associated with both ISTJs and INTJs) and how do you compare to those who fit more neatly into the dichotomy of one or another? To help kickstart the conversation: I ask because for years I have gotten an equal number of INTJ and INFJ results on various MBTI tests, but recently I took one that specified the percentage of one trait over another: I got 51% thinking and 49% feeling. I found this curious because it always seemed to me, especially when compared to the other sister personalities of INTJ, the stereotypical profile of an INFJ differed dramatically from INTJ. An INTJ/INFJ cusp almost seems like an oxymoron, but then again, a personality test that tries to divide all of humanity into 16 neat little categories is not going to be able to leave much room for nuance (at least without accounting for other modifying aspects, like assertive vs. volatile or enneagram results). Perhaps for an INTJ or INFJ, the feeling/thinking trait has an outsized effect on the overall gestalt compared to other traits?
