No soap / water only question

On the journey to figuring this whole thing out. Maybe I’ll make a post detailing my journey over the last 5 weeks where things drastically changed in my world “down under”. But for now, just going to use this sub to ask specific questions based on some of the info I’m finding on these forums.

So, been much more conscious of washing and different soaps and such. I’m opting into the “water only” camp when it comes to washing my penis. For my hair, I use vanicream shampoo. For my body, I was using native fragrance free until about a week ago when I switched to vanicream body wash. Supposedly vanicream is suited for sensitive skin… supposedly.

My question is, when showering (I shower once a day in the morning) how do you avoid the soap from shampoo or body wash running over your penis?

Especially with the body wash, I wash my inner thighs and upper groin area which inevitably gets suds onto my penis. I’ve began just immediately rinsing the suds off of my penis but am unsure if this soap contact is enough to be causing problems or disqualify me from the “water only” camp.
