Did I get upsold?

There was a listing with 7 plushies pictured and priced at $30. The seller mentioned they were "selling for space" in the description, but there was no clear indication if the $30 was for each plush or for the whole set. Each plush retails for around $30 MSRP, so I messaged the seller asking if the $30 was for each or for all.

They replied that it was $30 each, but then offered all 7 for $50. I only wanted 3, so I offered $40 for just those. Instead, the seller insisted on giving me the full set for $40.

Now I’m wondering — was I pressured into taking the full bundle and ended up paying $10 more than I needed to? The listing wasn’t clear, and I keep second-guessing if I got a deal or just got talked into spending more.

Part of me feels like the seller originally intended to sell the whole set for $30, but once I asked if it was per plush, they saw a chance to upsell and offload everything.

It’s still a good deal either way, I’m just looking for a bit of closure.
