[m4a] Is Proximity Really The Key? (A new dating game show)
An older man sat in the restaurant two tables over from you, he was on the phone with somebody talking about finally finding a perfect match for his new show. You sat there, wary of his intentions as he stared at you, but eventually he walked over to your table
“Miss, can I have a moment, please? “
You nod and he takes a seat. With a nice warm smile, he begins to explain.
“ I work over at Disney and we are developing a new game show in order to test the old saying that in order for a couple to create meaningful chemistry, that they must maintain close proximity. I know that this seems kind of sudden but you seem like an ideal candidate for the pilot. Would you be interested in joining? We will give you $1500 just for showing up …”
A couple scouts sat in the corner of my local gym. I had no idea who they were or what they were up to, just that they sat in the corner with a pad of paper, taking notes.
After my workout was completed, and I had just gotten out of the shower, two of the weird people that sat in the corner before bombarded me in the dressing room with an offer
“ we really were impressed with your work ethic, and the obvious gains in muscle mass you have made, but we are not here to just simply observe. We would like to invite you onto our new game show. You will be given a sum of $1500 just for competing. But the grand prize is $500,000….”
I was running a little low on money at the moment, so without any further questions like an idiot I just immediately blurted out, “ where is the contract and where do I sign?”
Thank you for reading the starter. As for the game show, I would like it to include the two of us being completely locked into a room for at least a week. Only having each other to work our way through certain challenges. Ie. escape rooms, truth or dare etc.
