Tiny Dots on MacBook Air M2 Screen Only Visible Under Reflected Light – Dust or Damage?
Hey everyone,
I’ve noticed some tiny, dust-like specks on my MacBook Air M2 screen that are only visible when light hits it at a certain angle— like when the screen is off and there’s a bright light source reflecting off of it. They look like very small dots or residue, not scratches, and they don’t seem to affect the display when it's turned on.
I tried cleaning it with a dry microfiber cloth and then with a lightly dampened one (distilled water only), but some of the dots are still there. They're very fine and feel textured — just visible in the reflection.
Has anyone else experienced this?
Would love to hear from anyone who had similar specks or reflections and figured out what they were — or if it’s just something to live with.
Thanks!
