Any recommendations on Ativan taper?

I have been taking at least 1 Mg of Ativan per day for a little over a year and Its slowly risen to 2 Mg a day. I want to taper off of it the most effective way possible with the least possible withdrawal symptoms. Anybody have any recommendations from prior experience? Thank you!
