A tale of UPS losing a passport twice
Hello r/UPS, I am cross posting a story from r/ukvisa about UPS "losing" my daughter's passport and visa paperwork twice when mailing from San Francisco Bay Area to New York. I put losing in quotes because in both instances the passport and paperwork were returned using the return shipping label inside the package.
Does anyone here have insight into what might be happening at UPS that's causing this?
In both cases the UPS store packaged the contents for me into a rigid UPS envelope and in both cases there was no notice from the visa processing center that the package was received, our application remains "active" or "pending a decision". Is it dumb to try to send it again with UPS? Other parents have sent their student's passport and paperwork via UPS just fine (but from different parts of California), I'm not sure why we got so unlucky.
