Hybrid seeds stable?

Are regular seeds stable when breed to f4 to f5? Meaning if I made seeds from these seeds the would I get a similar plant? Hear like with tomatoes growing a hybrid if had a big boy and a cherry tomatoe cross that making seeds with the hybrid result in a mix of big boy and cherry tomatoes with some being like the hybrid. Is it the same with the regular cannabis seeds unless breed to f4 f5 or what about heirloom landrace strains? What regular seeds would work best to make seeds from without getting something like the case of the tomatoes having some big boy some cherry?
