stuck on spin basket removal

hey all,

as the title says im stuck. or rather the spin basket is.

im taking apart a new-to-me maytag top loading washer because its disgusting and needs a deep clean, but i cant get past this part.

ive scoured the interwebs and i just cant find an answer. id really appreciate any advice/guidance yall have to offer.
