Idk wth just happened

Idk if this is a spoiler but I just put it just in case. So I started a new run because I keep messing up, and literally after the tutorial the moment I go to sleep, I encounter Nightmare. I did some research and saw that she appears if you're last interaction is with Kopi, but I didn't do that at all. It's literally the first night. Can Nightmare appear randomly, am I like really lucky?
