Big beautiful bill college endowments
The bill just passed the Senate and the house so will become law soon.
It includes a clause about taxing college endowments that amount to more than $2 million per student.
Scott has criticized colleges artificially limiting the number of students.
So will this help to incentivize colleges with big endowments to admit more students?
Another thing that Scott has mentioned is about opening a savings account for each child. That is also in the bill.
The rest of the bill is pretty bad. But I’m curious about Scott’s takes on these clauses.
