Rethinking my relationship with weed

Advice

I figured I’d share some thoughts while I’m on a break from smoking for the month. I’m not quitting for good, just taking some time to think about how I want weed to fit into my life.

I genuinely enjoy smoking, pre rolls are usually my go to and I'll have maybe 1g or so in the evening after work, for about a year and a half now. It hasn’t affected my responsibilities or motivation that much, maybe I'll do lazier hobbies instead of working on projects at times because of it, but other times I sort of enter this flow state on it and clean the house or code or whatever.

I just graduated college this year, I have a good job in tech, and life’s going ok for me overall. But even with all that, I started thinking more about long term stuff like my lung health and whether daily smoking is something I actually want to keep up.

That thought alone started making the sessions feel different. I’d light up and halfway through wonder why I was even doing it, even though I still liked how it felt. So I decided to take a break through July. I want to reset and come back with a clearer mindset, maybe with a plan that feels more intentional. Could be cutting down, switching to a dry herb vape, or only smoking during certain parts of the week or something like that.

Anyways, just looking for advice or similar experiences others have gone through from this sub! And how I can really intentionally set a good relationship with weed.
