I have received a pre-approved offer from Chase through their app under the “offers” section. I used to have a relationship with Chase for almost 10 years with a checking a saving account, but I went back to PNC Bank when they moved down into Texas (used to be a member when I lived in the Northeast). I left Chase on good terms but never used any of their products besides their checking and savings. Chase allowed me to keep my (credit/personal?) profile through their app, but I never qualified for any of their products the past 5 years because I was rebuilding my credit.

I’m interested in the Marriot Bonvoy card through Chase, I’m not really interested in the other Chase credit card offers. Even though I’m not pre-approved for the Marriot Bonvoy card, do I have a chance for approval since I’m pre-approved for the Chase Sapphire Reserved?

Also, I’m looking to finance a car this fall. Is it better to wait to apply for a Chase card until after I get financing for a car? Or is it better to just get the Chase Card first and then buy a car?

Thank you in advance, I’m going to bed so I won’t see the responses for several hours.
