Non issue with coworker made into issue
So I’ve started working at Sainsbury’s as an online assistant a little over a month ago. When starting, as you can imagine I would ask colleagues for help on where items were. There is this one particular colleague who worked as a retail assistant who I would ask a couple times for help. She would always help me, but I never got the vibe that she was annoyed ( she had a pretty expressionless face, can’t blame her tbh). Just this Thursday that passed, ( a very busy day for online orders) a customer approached me and asked if I knew where an item was, as I didn’t know and was running short on time ( couldn’t check stock app), I redirected her to my colleague ( Same as the previous). As I was packing up the order and rushing on to the next, she ( colleague) came up to me and started saying, “she can’t help me all the time- it’s my job to know where stuff are- this is unacceptable.” It was ridiculously busy so I offered her my apologies and she accepted and I rushed on to the next order. Afterwards, I saw her again when it quietened down and once again apologised to her. I went into work again on Friday and she was working too. I was leaving the canteen, when through the door I could see she was talking to a manger. As I came out she went away and my manger pulled me, and she said to me that I have worked here for awhile and should know where items are- she did mention that she knew that I was new and that I would need a little time.
Honestly, I find it so weird that she would complain about me to the manger when I apologised to her twice and said I wouldn’t do it again. She would also know I’m on probation as on my first day she asked me if I’m new. What was her intent- I feel as if it was malicious tbh.
Am I wrong?
