Recently diagnosed with HSD, I have a few questions

Hi! The other day I saw my rheumatologist for the second time, I have a ME/CFS and a fibromyalgia diagnosis, I mentioned suspecting I have POTS and he checked me out and told me I am hypermobile (something I suspected for a while due to some symptoms, I think a lot of the pain I thought was because of fibromyalgia was probably causes by this) and also gave me an appointment for a test with a cardiologist to confirm POTS

I asked him if this meant I have ehlers danlos and he told me it wasn't clear but that it was HSD for sure, that the test for hEDS is very expensive and not usually covered by insurance (where I live at least) and that it's usually diagnosed by symptoms

My question is, what are the differences between HSD and hEDS exactly? I googled it but I don't think I understood much.. is there any way to know if it is hEDS symptom wise? I am unsure and a bit confused still... also any advice for someone recently diagnosed in what I can do to alieviate joint pain/discomfort caused by this?
