Thinking of buying 2014 forester

My partner and I are in need of a new (to us) car and are considering a 2014 Forester 2.5l Touring. It has 135,000 miles on it, and is being sold for $10k. We know the 2014 is notorious for having CVT transmission and oil issues, and can see from the carfax report that the previous owner took it to Subaru dealerships to be serviced regularly but that the transmission wasn’t replaced at any visit (at least not that was recorded). We’re planning on getting a pre-purchase inspection done before we buy and plan to ask the mechanic about this too, but are we stupid for still considering this car knowing all the issues?
