Prior Authorization + Location for test -- Confused

Hi all, I'm really confused about this. I was sitting with a staff person at my dr's office, and i thought they had told me my insurance had approved the request for an mri. We talked about a location for me to get the test done, and they submitted the prescription to the hospital. Then, literally while I'm sitting waiting for the mri, I get a call from my insurance saying that the mri was approved for a different location. Am I going to have to pay out of pocket or what??

That doctor also prescribed another test. And I haven't received word from my insurance company for that test. but I could have sworn the staff member at my dr's office told me it was pre-approved. do I have to wait for my insurance to tell me where to get the test done?
