Getting an actual diagnosis
My ETS date is 18mo out. I am working on documenting a few health issues and getting diagnosed (back pain, voiding distinction/UI, CAPD, Behavioral health).
Does anyone have advice on whether I should tell the medical providers I am going to ETS? Are military doctors willing to help you out if you’re straightforward about getting out or do they typically think you’re shopping for a disability?
In the past when I went to the doc I don’t think I got a clear diagnosis. I’m not sure if the doc was trying not to mess up my career by limiting the diagnosis or why. But now I need a firm diagnosis to file a disability claim in the near future.
Additionally, if there are specific things I should ask the doc to note regarding the above conditions, let me know.
