Disabling HTTPS Redirect on UniFi Network Controller for Reverse Proxy?
Hi all,
I'm fairly new to the UniFi ecosystem and still getting my bearings. I'm currently working on setting up a reverse proxy (using Traefik) for various services in my homelab, and everything is working fine, except for the UniFi Network Controller.
After some digging, I found that the automatic HTTP-to-HTTPS redirection on the UniFi Controller's web interface is interfering with my reverse proxy setup, which is trying to serve the Controller UI via a subdomain with a Let's Encrypt SSL cert.
Before I start looking into workarounds within Traefik, I was wondering:
Is there any supported or safe way to disable the forced HTTPS redirect on the UniFi Controller? Ideally, I’d like to handle the SSL termination on the reverse proxy side.
Thanks in advance for any guidance or best practices!
