I cant play online

I have a problem with the Game Pass subscription. I got the account from my friend and he made me set the account as the primary on my device. I did that and played for about two hours, then turned off the Xbox. But after turning it back on, I couldn’t play any games online anymore. I can enter the games, but I can’t play online. I can still download games and do everything else, but I just can’t play online. Has this happened to anyone before?
