Huge mistake- Non registered account.

Hi, little did i know capital gain taxes are huge now i have 40K in my non -registered account where im investing periodically and stopped untile i discovered. stupid enough.

can i open and transfer to TFSA? whats the best way to avoid taxes. please suggest..whats the best way ?
