I know it’s dumb that I’m picking random fights on Reddit but god I just can’t believe that people actually are self serving enough to legitimately argue that their slop, which directly has led and is leading to thousands of people being shafted in the name of crap, and is making the internet unusable, is actually the same as real art. I guess I’m just in a bad mood but seriously people are so brain rotted it’s horrifying. Does anyone know any AI simps in real life? I’m so curious about what these people are like in real life because I can’t imagine being so woefully entitled and uncreative to be actively trying to usurp art in the name of profit, and eroding people’s actual standards and ability to appreciate something created by sentience/soul/hands/whatever you want to call it.

My sister is a proponent of it because she works in tech (and she owns a meta VR set unironically lol) but despite that even she has the sense to openly argue that ai art is not “another form of art”.

It would even be one thing if any of them actually used ai art as part of a composite project, like come up with a texture or something and then paste it in, just ANYTHING that doesn’t just steal another artist’s work/style. But no, the people who always are trying to force it on us are generating stuff like the meme above, or trying to rip of Miyazaki, and then trying to claim that they didn’t steal. It’s cringe and pathetic and would be sad it AI wasn’t part of the fascist takeover currently happening, and the final wave of the tech bros trying to make everything that was once cool utterly uncool.

I can’t believe this is a real, sincere subreddit…
