I have a Ride1up Revv1 that I turned into a 72v bike for a bit more speed and significantly more range with the help of a friend. Essentially, I dropped the bike off to get a flat repaired and when I got it back my connector for my battery was bent. Didn't notice till after I signed the waiver at the bike shop. 2 rides later the connector got hot, felt the bike turn off, and smelled a little smoke. The male connector that was bent broke off into the female connector.

So now I have to get both replaced. I have XT60U connector on both of them and I'm wondering If I can just buy a new set of XT60U's on Amazon and strip the old ones and plug those on. The only problem is, my old mechanic moved away and not a single bike shop in a 30 mile radius does anything electrical, even the ebike shops. Only mechanical for bike shops and only the ebikes the other bike shops have for sale are the ones they work on. Does anyone have any advice on which connector will work. Do I need to solder, should I be okay using the same XT60U that are currently on the bike?

Also, I checked amazon and saw that some are rated 10awg while others are 12awg and I'm honestly just lost at this point, but I want to do it right and learn so that I can maintain it myself in the future. The battery is also a 72v 35AH custom built battery I had made if that helps with anything.
