Usopp’s explosive arsenal feels weirdly inconsistent, and it’s been bugging me. During the Wano raid, his attacks didn’t seem to do much to most of Kaido’s crew. And honestly? I kind of get why. A lot of those characters are basically explosion-proof. They’ve got super durable bodies thanks to their Devil Fruits, and they’re used to tanking insane attacks. Ulti and Page One, for example, were basically immune to pain. Ulti literally took a direct hit from Big Mom and shrugged it off. Expecting Usopp’s explosives to do serious damage there feels unrealistic, those people are built differently.

But then you’ve got moments in Elbaf where the power of his explosives seems way more impactful. Like the scene where he shoots an explosive Pop Green at a wall to escape. It doesn't destroy the wall, but it does shatter a giant mirror made by giants, which clearly isn’t regular glass. That means the explosion was strong enough to break reinforced, super-durable material. The explosion also managed to stagger the giant chasing them, so there’s some solid force there. Still, it couldn’t break through the wall itself, which leaves you wondering just how powerful these blasts really are.

Then there’s the wild moment with Gunko, one of the God Knights. Usopp fires an explosive that literally disintegrates the top half of her body. That’s insane. Sure, her body regenerates, so she’s not permanently taken out, but that explosion was clearly strong enough to kill a normal person on the spot.

So what gives? His explosives are strong enough to:

* Break a giant-crafted mirror
* Disintegrate a superhuman-level opponent
* Stagger massive enemies
* Kill a regular person outright

…but not strong enough to:

* Defeat pain-immune tanks like Ulti and Page One
* Break through giant-level architecture
* Have consistent damage output in large-scale battles like the Wano raid

The inconsistency really makes you wonder, are his explosives genuinely weak compared to the top tiers, or are they just situational? Maybe the explosions vary depending on which Pop Green he uses, how he prepares the shot, or what kind of target he’s facing. Whatever the reason, it’s clear Usopp’s arsenal is full of potential, but One Piece doesn’t always let that shine the way it could.

How strong do you think Usopp’s explosions are
