New to selling, Do buyer scammers buy real accounts?
To start, selling a couch
Her account seems real, all her followers seem to be of the same culture/family when looking at the surnames of the followers. She also has a post of a family member. Her account activity started in Dec 2024
She avoids using the Facebook chat and goes on phone, one thing that inclines me to believe this isn’t a scam is that she is using iMessage 💬.
She also avoids physical cash and insists Venmo, Cashapp, and Zelle. This is before the product is given, so I wonder, can I get scammed if I see the money is in my bank 🏦? I obviously will not believe the pretending to be “Cashapp Rep” email if that happens to go.
Oh and to add, she says she got in an accident and sent a photo of a leg🦵cast saying her husband will pick it up. Her area code is from another state BTW
This all feels scummy but some things make me believe it’s not too scummy, she has 37 followers that seem to be related when looking at surname, but who knows? Also uses iMessage.
What’s the worst that could happen?
if I go ahead and give her my Zelle, Venmo, Cashapp, and not give her the product, can she scam me? If I see the funds allocated in my account thru one of those apps, I’m not scammed am I?
Kinda need some advice here, would appreciate.
